5. How We Handle Account and Contact Information
Designday manages users' account and contact information, including email addresses and phone numbers, for account administration, authentication, customer support, subscription management, security, and related operational purposes.
We do not intend to use account email addresses or phone numbers to train AI models, and we do not intentionally include these details in ordinary prompts sent to OpenAI or Anthropic for AI generation.
We may use hosting, database, authentication, and other infrastructure providers to operate Zibo. These providers may process account information on our behalf where necessary to deliver their services and maintain the platform, subject to applicable contractual arrangements and law.
We do not sell personal contact information.
However, certain operational services may require limited information to perform their functions. For example, a payment provider may need transaction or billing information to process a purchase, and an email delivery provider may need a recipient address to deliver a message if such a provider is used.
Any such processing will depend on the services we actually use and will be subject to applicable contractual arrangements, disclosures, and law.
We will not represent that contact information is never disclosed to any third party unless our operational arrangements support that commitment.
6. Artificial Intelligence and Third-Party AI Providers
6.1 AI Services Used by Zibo
Zibo currently uses third-party AI application programming interfaces (APIs), including services provided by OpenAI and Anthropic (Claude), to generate responses, explanations, design-related information, and other outputs.
Designday does not currently operate its own proprietary foundation model for these features.
When you submit a request to an AI-powered feature, the information necessary to process that request may be transmitted to the relevant AI provider.
Depending on the feature, this may include your prompt, relevant portions of User Content, and other contextual information needed to generate a response.
6.2 AI Model Training
We do not intend to use your account email address or phone number to train AI models.
Designday does not currently operate its own foundation model trained on Zibo user data.
Our use of third-party AI APIs is distinct from training a proprietary model. Information submitted to an API to generate a response is processed for that request, subject to the applicable provider terms, account configuration, and data-handling arrangements.
We will not claim that every category of User Content is excluded from all forms of model training or processing unless that commitment is supported by our actual arrangements with the relevant providers.
6.3 Processing by AI Providers
AI providers may process submitted information to return responses and operate their services. Depending on the provider, service configuration, and applicable terms, they may also process limited technical information, retain certain information for security or abuse monitoring, or handle information in other ways disclosed in their policies.
We do not control every aspect of a third-party provider's independent operations.
You should avoid submitting highly sensitive personal information, credentials, or confidential information that is not necessary for the requested task.
6.4 AI-Generated Outputs
AI-generated responses may be stored or associated with your account where the product supports such functionality.
We may also process related information to investigate errors, address support requests, maintain security, or improve the reliability of the Services.
AI-generated outputs may contain errors or inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing the outputs before relying on or implementing them.
6.5 Changes to AI Providers
We may change, add, or remove AI providers as Zibo develops.
If a change materially affects our data-handling practices or requires additional disclosure or consent, we will take the steps required by applicable law and update this Policy where appropriate.
7. How We Share or Disclose Information
We do not sell personal information as a business model. We may disclose or make information available in the following circumstances where necessary and lawful.
7.1 AI Service Providers
We may transmit prompts, relevant User Content, and other request information to OpenAI, Anthropic, or other AI providers we adopt to generate requested outputs.
This disclosure is limited to information needed for the relevant feature, subject to our implementation and provider arrangements.
7.2 Proprietary UX Knowledge Library
Zibo develops and maintains a curated UX knowledge library containing interface screenshots, user flows, screen-level UX analysis, design patterns, motion references, and other materials relating to digital products.
We use these materials to provide UX research, design explanations, benchmarking, and educational features.
The library is developed using research and reference materials gathered from sources that may include publicly accessible websites, digital applications, and other available product materials. We aim to focus on interface structures and design patterns rather than information about individual users.
Some reference materials may contain personal information inadvertently captured from an interface. Where reasonably practicable, we seek to identify and remove or obscure unnecessary personal information before storing or displaying those materials.
We do not intend to use personal information incidentally appearing in reference materials to train AI models. The handling of personal information identified in these materials is subject to applicable law and our privacy practices.
Third-party screenshots, interface designs, logos, and other reference materials may remain the property of their respective owners. Our Terms & Conditions address intellectual property and the permitted use of such materials.
The proprietary organization, original analysis, and knowledge structures developed by Designday may constitute valuable company intellectual property. This does not mean that Designday claims ownership of third-party interfaces or personal information contained within reference materials.
7.3 Hosting and Infrastructure Providers
We may use third-party services to host, store, transmit, secure, or maintain Zibo and its data.
These providers may process information necessary to operate the Services on our behalf.
7.4 Payment Providers
If you purchase a subscription, the relevant payment provider may receive transaction and billing information needed to process the payment, manage refunds, prevent fraud, or meet financial compliance requirements.
7.5 Communications and Support Providers
If we use third-party email, support, or communication tools, those providers may process the information needed to deliver messages or respond to requests.
7.6 Professional Advisers and Corporate Services
We may disclose relevant information to professional advisers, auditors, accountants, legal representatives, and other service providers where necessary for legitimate business operations, legal compliance, or the protection of our rights.
7.7 Legal Requirements and Protection of Rights
We may disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, respond to a valid legal process, enforce our agreements, investigate suspected fraud, or protect the rights, property, and safety of Designday, our users, or others.
7.8 Business Transfers
If Designday is involved in a merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing, or sale of assets, relevant information may be disclosed or transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate safeguards and applicable law.
7.9 With Your Direction or Consent
We may share information where you request or authorize us to do so, or where your use of a feature clearly requires disclosure to a third party and the applicable legal requirements are met.
8. Third-Party App Screenshots and UX Reference Materials
Zibo may collect, capture, document, and analyze screenshots, interface elements, and user flows from third-party websites and digital applications for UX research, design analysis, benchmarking, and educational purposes.
These materials may be sourced from publicly accessible websites, app stores, or applications accessed by our team for product research.
Our intention is to document interface structures, design patterns, and user journeys rather than collect personal information about individual app users.
8.1 Personal Information in Screenshots
Screenshots may occasionally contain personal information, such as names, profile photographs, account details, notifications, or other information visible in an interface.
Where reasonably practicable, we aim to avoid collecting unnecessary personal information and to review, crop, redact, blur, or otherwise remove it before storing or displaying reference materials.
If we identify personal information that has been inadvertently captured, we will assess the circumstances and take appropriate steps to restrict access, redact, delete, or otherwise address it in accordance with applicable law.
8.2 Third-Party Content
Screenshots and reference materials may contain interface designs, text, graphics, logos, trademarks, and other materials owned by third parties.
Their collection or display does not imply that Designday owns those materials or is affiliated with the relevant application developer or brand.
The intellectual property aspects of our reference library are addressed in our Terms & Conditions. This Privacy Policy does not grant us ownership of third-party materials or determine whether a particular use is legally authorized.
8.3 Privacy Requests
If you believe that a screenshot in Zibo contains your personal information and would like it reviewed, please contact hey@zibo.design.
Please provide the relevant page or material, a description of the information involved, and any details reasonably necessary for us to identify it.
We will review the request and take appropriate action in accordance with applicable law.
9. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Zibo may use cookies and similar technologies to support website functionality, authentication, security, analytics, preferences, and other features.
The specific categories of technologies used, their purposes, and the available controls are explained in our separate Cookie Policy.
Please review that Policy for further information about managing cookie preferences and browser settings.
10. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, subject to applicable law and any specific retention obligations.
Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and how it is used.
For example:
Account information: retained while your account remains active and for an appropriate period afterward where needed for legal, security, or operational purposes.
User Content and AI interactions: retained according to the relevant feature's functionality, account settings where available, operational requirements, and applicable provider arrangements.
Payment and billing records: retained for the periods necessary to meet accounting, tax, financial, and legal obligations.
Support communications: retained as necessary to address requests, maintain appropriate records, and resolve disputes.
Technical and security logs: retained for a period appropriate to security, troubleshooting, service reliability, and legal requirements.
We do not specify a universal retention period for all information because different categories may be subject to different operational and legal requirements.
When personal information is no longer needed, we will take appropriate steps to delete, anonymize, or otherwise dispose of it, subject to applicable law and legitimate retention requirements.
Deleting your Zibo account may not automatically delete information held independently by third-party service providers or information we are legally required to retain. Where relevant, provider-specific deletion and retention practices will apply.
11. Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.
Depending on the system and information involved, safeguards may include access restrictions, authentication controls, secure data transmission, monitoring, and other appropriate technical or organizational measures.
Access to personal information should be limited to individuals and service providers who require it for authorized purposes.
However, no website, online service, or method of electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure. We cannot promise absolute security.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and notifying us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
Further information about our data-protection practices is available in our separate Data Protection Policy.
12. International Data Processing
Zibo uses third-party service providers, including AI providers, that may process information in countries other than your country of residence.
As a result, personal information may be transferred to or processed in jurisdictions where data-protection laws differ from those in your jurisdiction.
Where required, we will take appropriate steps to ensure that such processing or transfers comply with applicable legal requirements.
The countries in which information is processed may depend on the services and infrastructure used by Zibo and the relevant provider's arrangements.
13. Your Privacy Rights and Choices
Depending on your location and the laws that apply to you, you may have rights concerning your personal information.
These rights may include, where applicable:
Requesting access to personal information we hold about you.
Requesting correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
Requesting deletion of personal information.
Withdrawing consent where processing is based on consent.
Requesting information about how your personal information is processed.
Raising a complaint about our handling of personal information.
Exercising other rights available under applicable law.
The availability and scope of these rights may depend on the relevant law, the type of information involved, and any applicable exceptions.
13.1 How to Make a Request
To exercise a privacy right, email hey@zibo.design with “Privacy Request” in the subject line.
Please describe the request and provide enough information for us to identify the relevant account or records.
We may need to verify your identity before responding to a request, particularly where disclosure or deletion could affect account security or another person's rights.
We will handle requests within the timeframes and according to the procedures required by applicable law.
13.2 Account Changes and Deletion
Where account settings provide the relevant functionality, you may update certain account details or manage your account directly.
If you wish to delete your account or request deletion of personal information, contact us using the details in Section 19.
We may retain certain records where required by law or where retention is otherwise permitted, such as records needed for accounting, security, dispute resolution, or the establishment or defense of legal claims.
13.3 Marketing Preferences
You may opt out of promotional communications by using the unsubscribe mechanism included in the relevant message, where available, or by contacting us.
Opting out of promotional communications will not necessarily stop essential service communications, such as account, security, payment, or legal notices.
14. Children's Privacy
Zibo is intended for users who are legally eligible to use the Services under applicable law.
We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children in violation of applicable legal requirements.
If you believe that a child has provided personal information to Zibo in circumstances that violate applicable law, please contact us at hey@zibo.design.
We will review the matter and take appropriate steps as required by applicable law.
15. Third-Party Websites and Services
Zibo may contain links to third-party websites, applications, or services.
When you visit or interact with those services, their own privacy policies and terms may apply. We do not control the privacy practices of independent third parties and are not responsible for their policies or operations, subject to applicable law.
We encourage you to review the relevant third-party privacy notices before submitting personal information to those services.
16. Automated Processing and AI Limitations
Zibo uses AI systems to generate responses, explanations, design suggestions, and other outputs.
These systems may process the information you submit to respond to your request. AI-generated outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your particular circumstances.
Zibo is designed to assist with design and UX-related work. It is not intended to make decisions about your legal rights, financial eligibility, employment, or other similarly significant matters solely through automated processing.
You should review AI-generated information before relying on it.
17. How We Handle Privacy Complaints
If you have a concern about how we collect, use, or otherwise process personal information, please contact us at hey@zibo.design.
Please describe your concern and include any relevant information that will help us investigate.
We will review the complaint and respond in accordance with applicable law.
Where applicable law provides access to a data-protection authority or another formal complaint mechanism, you may also have the right to approach that authority.
18. Beta Product and Evolving Data Practices
Zibo is currently in beta, and our product features, technical infrastructure, integrations, and operational processes may evolve as we develop and improve the service.
As a result, certain technical details of our data-handling practices, including the specific systems used to store information, authentication methods, AI processing configurations, monitoring tools, and data retention procedures, may change over time.
We aim to be transparent about how personal information is collected, used, stored, processed, and shared. We will update this Privacy Policy when material changes to our practices require an update, in accordance with applicable law.
If you have questions about how a particular category of information is handled, which service providers may process it, or how a specific feature uses your data, you can contact us at hey@zibo.design. We will work to provide a clear and accurate explanation of our practices.
Although Zibo is in beta and our systems may change, we will handle personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws. We do not treat beta status as an exemption from our privacy obligations.
19. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our Services, data-handling practices, third-party providers, or applicable law.
When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page and provide additional notice where required by law.
Where a material change requires your consent or another specific action under applicable law, we will take the required steps.
We encourage you to review this Policy periodically to stay informed about how Zibo handles personal information.
